The Visayas consists of numerous islands, large or small, offering some of the most fascinating dive sites of the country – the list is almost infinite. Located on Cebu Island, Moalboal has spectacular slopes and walls close to the shore. Among others, Lilo-An, located at the South East of the island and Mactan Island are 2 remarkable dive spots of Cebu. Off the North coast of Cebu, close to Malapascua Island, Monad Shoal is under the supervision of a bench of Thresher shark – fox sharks.
Around Bohol Island, waters surrounding the islands of Panglao and Balicasag concentrate an incredible marine life. The Balicasag Island is considered by many experienced divers as one of the best dive site of the country, right after the remote walls and slopes of Apo Reef and Tubbataha or the incredibly virgins spots of Cagayan, 130km / 80 miles off the Negros Occidental (more information about this outstanding destination in our Safari dives section).
